This Seplos BMS 2.0 is satisfied for 48V 150A charge-discharge current batteries. Models 7s, 13s, and 14s are for NCM battery, while 8s, 15s, and 16s are for LiFePO4 battery, do not mix use. The primary function of the battery management system is to prevent overcharging, over-discharging, overcurrent, and overheating of lithium batteries.

It would be very difficult for the Seplos balancer to cause any trouble IMHO. Mostly because it is quite manual: you must press the power button to enable the balancer board. It sits in standby mode for up to 10 hours. If it does not receive a signal from the BMS to begin balancing in that time frame, it shuts itself off.

How many volts can a semplos BMS charge?
Look like I'm on the same journey as you, I have the Semplos BMS which came with my vertical unit and 16 EVE 280 Cells. Did you manage to setup your BMS parameters, I thought your settings in your sheet seemed a bit high. I was only charging to 3.5v per cell which gives a 56volt max and a safety cut off of 3.65v 58.4v.
