The cheaper renewable energy delivered through the project will ensure Solomon Power, the country’s state-owned electricity supplier, can deliver cheaper power, including outside Honiara. The total project cost is expected to reach US$240 million over the next 5 years.
Air conditioning in government offices and business houses is a significant contributor to energy consumption in Solomon Islands.
