Gore Street Energy Storage Fund, one of two stock exchange listed energy storage funds in the UK, has acquired an 81MW operating battery storage portfolio from Anesco, as the latter continues its transition from asset owner to services provider.
Anesco has received planning approval from Aberdeenshire Council to build a 50MW battery storage facility close to the village of Rothienorman in North East Scotland.
UK-headquartered solar PV and battery storage project developer and operations and maintenance (O&M) provider Anesco has just had its plan for the facility, in Essex, England, approved by a local authority. Adjacent to a 132kV substation, the project’s battery energy storage system (BESS) will comprise 28 battery units.
Our battery storage systems meet the highest specifications, ensuring they perform at their optimal level. Anesco has a long-standing relationship with the major battery manufacturers and all of the batteries come with state-of-the-art fire protection, security and AC systems.
Anesco has worked quickly and been very responsive. The team’s experience and varied backgrounds from within the sector is also very appealing. Anesco is the UK market leader for utility scale battery storage. We installed the UK's first commercial energy storage unit.
The site is the first one to be developed by Anesco in Scotland and forms part of more than 440MW of new solar and storage projects the company currently has at the planning or ready to build stage in the UK. Situated on low grade agricultural land, the site is in close proximity to Rothienorman substation.
We are deeply committed to excellence in all our endeavors.
Since we maintain control over our products, our customers can be assured of nothing but the best quality at all times.
