Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 21 November 2023: PwC Middle East has launched its first Net Zero Future50 report, revealing 50 pioneering start-ups in the Middle East driving innovation focused on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and addressing the impacts of global warming across key economic sectors in the region.
Using PwC networks and tech partner expertise, we identified 500 climate and sustainability-focused start-ups operating in the region - with over 200 coming forward in response to our public call for nominations at COP27 in Sharm-El-Sheikh, Egypt, last year.
Middle East investors are investing heavily in climate technology around the world, bucking the global investment slowdown, however, a notable gap in funding for local and regional climate tech entrepreneurs persists.
Established in the Middle East for 40 years, PwC Middle East has 30 offices across 12 countries in the region with around 10,000 people. ( ) PwC refers to the PwC network and/or one or more of its member firms, each of which is a separate legal entity. Please see for further details. © 2023 PwC.
