Under separate contracts with AES Corp (NYSE:AES) and Invenergy, APS will get access to 150 MW of solar-fueled battery storage to use at peak demand. AES said today the 100-MW, four-hour duration battery storage system it will deliver is to be operational in mid-2021. It and APS have entered into a 20-year contract for the storage capacity.
